Old Walled City of Lefkosa

The Kyrenia Gate which provided entry to the Old Walled City of Nicosia was built by Venetians  in 1562. The Kyrenia Gate with an arch architecture is one of the most important histocial gates of Nicosia. You can still find inscriptions belonged totoe the Ottoman and Venetian periods.
